The Land Use Bylaw and Municipal Development Plan review is currently on hold. Further information will be posted here when the County resumes work on these planning documents.
The Land Use Bylaw (LUB) regulates how land can be used and developed within the County, while the Municipal Development Plan (MDP) provides broader direction for the County’s long-term growth, development and land-use planning.
The County undertook a review of the Land Use Bylaw and Municipal Development Plan in 2025. The process generated significant public interest and concern, with residents and landowners raising questions about proposed changes, land-use designations, public notification and opportunities for public input.
